In their own words · from the filing
Standard payment terms
The Company’s standard contractual payment terms for all qualifying contracts are 60 days from invoice date, however, specific terms can be negotiated and agreed with a supplier. The agreed payment terms are reflected in our contractual documentation and accounting system. There were no changes to standard payment terms in the reporting period.
Dispute resolution
Supplier invoices are processed and passed to business approvers who can approve or reject an invoice. In the event of a dispute, it is logged with the supplier via email or on their portal where applicable. The supplier and the relevant Colt authorised person work towards dispute resolution and a credit note may be issued by the supplier once the dispute is agreed. In case the dispute remains unresolved within a reasonable period, the supplier can contact the relevant Colt business contact. The supplier may further contact the Colt Divisional / Finance Head. For any payment related queries, the supplier can also write to [email protected].

How UK payment reporting works
What is a Payment Practices Report?
What does "paid outside agreed terms" mean?
How often is this data updated?
Is this official government data?
How this is compiled. Built from official records only: Companies House and the gov.uk payment-practices service. The payment figures are self-reported — companies over the size threshold must file them by law and the board signs them off. No credit-agency data. The numbers are theirs; the plain-English read is ours. This is information compiled from public records under the Open Government Licence v3.0 — not a credit rating and not advice.
The 31-day comparison figure is the median across 6,185 companies with a current statutory report — every sector pooled, not an average of sector medians (how the figure is built).
